Joining information

Beavers

Beaver Scouts are the first section in the Scout Association for boys and girls aged between 6 and 8 years old. We now have two colonies in Wells to hopefully keep up with the increased demand of young people wanting to be in Scouts! Both colonies follow similar programmes packed with a variety of fun activities run both inside and outside the hut, sometimes joining with other colonies in the district or even the county. Some of these include games, creative/science activities, celebrating international festivals, visits to places of interest, panto, sleepovers/camping, plus joining in District events which include swimming, football and Connect 4 challenges. Yukon Colony meets on a Tuesday evening and Alberta Colony meets on a Wednesday, both at 5.30pm til 6.45pm, at the Scout Hut in Kennion Road. Do please contact us to register your interest. Our Beaver Scout Leaders are Jan Doyle and Simon Waterman. We are more than happy to cater for those parents who feel they must come and have a go too as their children are having all the fun!

Cubs

Cub Scouts are the second section in the Scout Association for boys and girls aged between 8 and 10 years old. We have one pack in Wells, with hopefully a second one coming soon.

Scouts

Scouts are the third section in the Scout Association for boys and girls aged between 10 and 14.5 years old. We have one troop in Wells, with hopefully a second one coming soon.

Leaders

We are always on the lookout for adults to join our leadership team. There are many different ways to get involved, such as; helping out occasionally at meetings, joining the committee or simply helping as part of the kitchen crew on District camp. To find out more, visit our contact us page to be put in touch with our group scout leader.

Please note all adults volunteering their time with Scouts must be CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) cleared.
